I recall when I first visited the Kidd's Beach on family day’s trip. Then I thought to myself, ooh boy I love this place, the calmness and the quietness away from busy streets of East London where we are currently residing. The Green Estate at the time was not there. A few years ago I heard about Umlele Development, I immediately knew that my dreams of leaving in the country side would be fulfilled. In October 2019, I decided to take a leap to visit the development, make contacts with agent and to finally put that offer to purchase. The offer I put was at The Village, thinking that, my financial climate at the time would allow me to afford such. Little did I know that my application would be rejected due to negative listing against my name, to which this was a complete shock to me. This obviously discouraged me, but the Home Loan Consultant, Nikita-Lee Brown was very encouraging and delivered the news to me in a very mature manner. That was the beginning of the hard and exhausting journey that I have ever taken. The 1st step was to find the company that has negatively listed me on the credit bureaus. Nikita assisted me with tracking the company that was no longer there, appointed investigators and made continues follow ups. Only after 6 months that we could finally see the light when the adverse was cleared, so we decided to put in the application again. We were again encountered with another bad news of banks not wanting to grant the bond due to low credit score this time. There was only one bank that offered us 80% of the purchase price, which therefore meant that we have to come up with 20% at short space of time. While I was busy sourcing this 20%, I remember this day clearly, I was coming from picking the kids from school, thank God I did cause the accident because of excitement this time. Nikita called with a very loud and a happy voice“ Babalwa forget the 20%, we have 100% approval” I could not believe my ears, and my kids were asking“ yintoni mama”, what’s going on mama. There we were, finally getting the bank approval of home loan on 100%. Nikita further managed to negotiate a reduced interest rate offered by the bank from 8.4 to 7.4 which made a huge difference on the monthly bond repayments. This lady, handled the entire process with such humanity, without me feeling ashamed of the past credit rating. She was transparent and communicated every step of the process. The whole experience was heavy and wearing on my energy level but at the end it yielded positive results because of persistent Nikita. Thank you so much for making my family’s dream come true. Now the kids will experience the country side living, like we always wanted. You indeed went that extra mile for us and may you continue to do the same for others in similar situations.

Nikita’s work was so great. Not only did she help me with just getting approved by the bank but she went an extra mile to making sure I got the best out of my deal. She takes her work seriously and her personal skills are great. The amount of patience and understanding and her trying her outmost best to answer my questions and making sure I understand the whole process was phenomenal.
